This Consult the Board survey summary contains inputs from 23 Gartner Research Board for Global CIOs and Technology Infrastructure Research Board members on their experiences with third-party maintenance for SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). It examines members’ status of SAP S/4HANA deployment, their SAP ERP versions, and alliances with third parties for SAP ERP maintenance.
What are the experiences of members using SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC in partnering with third-party maintenance providers?
The majority of respondents (17 of 23, or 74%) are currently using SAP ERP.
Of these, five respondents (or 29%) are on SAP S/4HANA and none of them use third-party maintenance for SAP ERP.
Most respondents (12 of 17, or 71%) are on SAP ERP Central Component (ECC), of which five are leveraging third-party maintenance.
