This Consult the Board survey summary features perspectives from 15 Information Risk Management Research Board members regarding the implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) for administrators. It examines members’ implementation of MFA on different platforms, challenges they faced during its rollout, and scenarios where they do not deploy MFA.
Have members implemented MFA for administrators and what are the challenges they have faced during its implementation?
Respondents have either fully implemented the MFA for administrators (5 of 15) or are in the phase of rolling it out (10 respondents).
More than half of the respondents (8 of 14) have fully implemented MFA for administrators on Windows.
Respondents faced various challenges during the rollout of MFA for administrators, such as change management (4 of 12), training and awareness (3 respondents), and poor user experience (3 respondents).
