It examines the percentage of IT work that different resources perform at members’ organizations, members’ agreement level on strategy-related statements, and successful emerging hubs for sourcing talent.
How will the percentage of IT work performed by members’ internal IT full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, outsourcing service providers, and contractors change in 2025 as compared to 2023?
In 2025, the median percentage of IT work performed by internal IT FTEs and outsourcing service providers is expected to be 60% and 23%, respectively, for 24 respondents. This is similar to the proportion of work undertaken in 2023.
The median percentage of IT work performed by contractors will remain the same at 10% in 2025, as it is in 2023, for 24 respondents.
