Alfred Sim is a Director, Advisory in Gartner's CIO Research and Advisory group.
He supports CIOs and IT leaders in addressing management challenges such as digital transformation and strategy, operating models, product line management, IT governance and digital talent management.
Mr. Sim is part of the Asia-Pacific and Japan team, and has extensive experience of the Japanese market. He will cover CIO key initiatives across industries, in particular for the Japanese market.
Mr. Sim has more than 12 years of experience in management consultancy and end-user organization. Prior to joining Gartner, he was with Deloitte helping clients with cross-border post-merger integrations, focusing on the people, process and system aspects of integration, and had supported clients in driving change management across their enterprises.
While with Toshiba, Mr. Sim spent 1 year in California, US and 6 months in Dusseldorf, Germany working with local executives and management through the cultural differences and local regulatory requirements to drive the global rollout of a financial accounting system enterprise wide.
