Alia Mendonsa is a Senior Director Analyst for the Government Research team, focused on digital leadership strategies in the public sector context and state and local government application strategy.
Ms. Mendonsa joined the Government Research group after serving CIOs and their teams as an executive partner within Gartner Executive Programs for over nine years. Her focus was supporting CIOs and their teams in developing and executing against their strategy, including IT organization, governance, communication and organizational change management.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Mendonsa served as the Research Director for the Center for Digital Government and Education, a research and advisory institute focusing on the successful implementation of technology in state and local government and educational institutions. During her tenure, she was responsible for oversight of the center's online market research tools for the technology industry and the custom research and advisory services programs. In addition to direct consultation with the IT industry regarding state and local government IT initiatives, she developed a concentration in procurement processes and technologies, and established the center's contracts advisory and analysis program.
