Andre J. Gravel is a vice president in Gartner Consulting and focuses on IT service management and process.
Mr. Gravel is the consulting process re-engineering competency lead for North America and Gartner's chief ITIL instructor. He is an ITIL-certified process consultant in ITIL v.3 and brings over 22 years of IT experience to Gartner, including international IT business management experience in Canada and Europe. Throughout his career, Mr. Gravel has developed and implemented new and re-engineered business process solutions for Fortune 1000 clients covering the full spectrum of IT services, strategy and implementation. He is certified in all life cycle and capabilities disciplines in ITIL v.3 and is a member of the Examination Committee.
Before joining Gartner in 2000, Mr. Gravel was a senior director managing the IT operations for the outsourcing engagements supported by Inacom. During his three-year tenure there, he acquired strategy and implementation experience from a variety of assignments providing IT services to Fortune 200 companies. He helped manage a $1 billion outsourcing portfolio. Prior to Inacom, Mr. Gravel worked at IBM and Lucent Technologies.
Mr. Gravel has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario, and a master's degree in engineering administration from George Washington University's NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Mr. Gravel is ITIL Service Manager (Masters) and PMP-certified. He also holds the P.Eng. designation from the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
