Bill Pray is a Practice Vice President for Gartner IT Leaders & Tech Professional Security & Risk Program Management. Mr. Pray is responsible for the Adaptive Resilience, Risk & Trust Management; Security and Privacy Program Management; and CISO Coalition teams.

He joined Gartner in January 2010 as a result of the acquisition of the Burton Group. He has served as a manager and as an analyst covering communications, collaboration, and content solutions and security within Gartner for Technical Professionals.

Previous experience

Prior to joining the Burton Group, Mr. Pray was a Product Manager for LexisNexis Risk and Information Group Screening Solutions and Novell GroupWise. His experience also includes being an IT administrator, network operations center supervisor, law enforcement records and communications manager, and global support manager.
