As part of the Employee Experience research team in Gartner's HR Practice, Bing works with functional leaders and their teams to conduct in-depth research of their pressing challenges, surfacing evidenced best practices and practical tools practitioners can put to their own use. Bing's research focuses on driving employee engagement and creating optimum hybrid work experiences. Bing was the author of a popular 2022 ReImagine HR breakout session focused on measuring employee engagement. Bing has also published research in benchmarking turnover costs, conducting effective stay conversations and designing employee journey maps. Bing's future research will examine strategies organizations can take to build a vibrant intergenerational workplace experience.
Prior to joining Gartner, Bing worked in the federal government and think-tank space, supporting research into the Chinese political economy. Mr. Chen was involved in the maintenance of the China Global Investment Tracker, the only comprehensive public database covering China's global investment and construction.
