Ellen Whitin is an Executive Client Manager in Gartner Executive Programs (EXP). In this role, she is responsible for providing direction and support to C-level clients, which involves communicating and ensuring that her members leverage all aspects of their EXP Program, such as Gartner research, analyst interaction and support, and peer community collaboration. She helps CIOs and senior leaders successfully address IT challenges and initiatives in a proactive manner. With more than 20 years of experience in Gartner's research and advisory roles, she has worked with CIOs in both the public and private sectors, spanning a range of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, retail, media, education and healthcare.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Whitin was a relationship manager in EXP, where she was responsible for maintaining strong relationships with both CIOs and senior IT executives. This role involved a thorough understanding of CIO goals, disciplines and objectives. She drove several successful outcomes related to her members IT challenges and key initiatives. Also while at Gartner, she worked as a senior client inquiry specialist in the Networking and Communications research group. She worked directly with lead analysts and Gartner clients to address networking-related inquiries that resulted in a higher level of client satisfaction and resolved requests.
