Group Vice President

Eric Paulak leads Gartner's IT Leaders and Technical Professionals business. The group provides research and advisory services to the senior-most leaders reporting to the CIO, as well as all of their technical professionals. The teams focus on supporting specific roles, including those covering applications, data & analytics, enterprise architecture, infrastructure & operations, program & project management, security & risk management and sourcing & vendor management. In prior roles in Gartner, Mr. Paulak has managed security and networking teams as well as being a networking and communications analyst.

Prior to joining Gartner in 1995, Mr. Paulak worked at the Center for Communications Management Information (CCMI), where he headed its telecommunications publishing and online services division. He previously wrote a weekly column in Network World Magazine on telecom regulatory issues. Mr. Paulak has also worked as a journalist, consultant and telecom manager.
