Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Wurster was an independent e-business consultant, working with small and midsize companies to determine Internet strategies for marketing, e-commerce, electronic software delivery and online customer support. During this period, she was also a contributing writer to Software Developer and Publisher Magazine. . In addition to managing the design and implementation of these strategies, she conducted the market research and competitive and product analysis required to best position her clients' Internet strategies. Further in the past, she was the program manager for worldwide online information systems and expertise locators for Digital Equipment Corporation and Shiva Corporation.
