Matt Corsi is a Senior Director in Gartner's IT Procurement, Asset and Vendor Management team, which supports clients in maintaining their competency and discipline in technology procurement, asset and vendor management. Mr. Corsi's focus is on defining and conducting research on the best-in-class organization, processes, and tools for software asset management, vendor management, and technology procurement operations. He focuses his research on how clients can achieve risk and cost mitigation without compromising speed through proactive planning and engagement.
Mr. Corsi also concentrates on software asset management - tools, audits, policies, governance, organization design and tool implementation best practices. He also helps clients with cost optimization by advising how to optimize software, SaaS and telecom spend postcontract and performing a spend analysis to identify opportunities to rationalize vendor portfolios and increase competitive tension.
Mr. Corsi led the development and transformation of IT sourcing and vendor management functions in both finance and retail organizations. In these roles, he led the teams responsible for IT subcategories such as cloud, contingent labor, hardware, mainframe, professional services, software and telecommunications. Under his leadership, his teams delivered millions in savings and decreased sourcing lead time while significantly increasing stakeholder satisfaction.
