As a Senior Director Analyst in the Technology Product Manager team within the Technology and Service Providers research unit, Mr. Flatley helps Gartner clients deal with the issues surrounding the implementation of a robust product management framework. His research deals with areas of related best practice for product life cycle management, product leadership, planning, development, and introduction. This research is role-centric and technology agnostic, but he draws upon recent experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrials and consumer electronics as well as technology hardware and related software and services. From a market perspective his research and coverage are focused on the competitive landscape, market dynamics and evolution of the Smart Buildings segment. He also covers the niche Enterprise Cloud Fax space.
Mr. Flatley has 18 years of International strategic product management and marketing experience primarily gained in Fortune 500 technology manufacturing companies within the B2B and B2C segments.
Mr. Flatley was most recently employed as European Product Marketing Director by Salus Controls PLC, a branded products division of the Computime group.
Mr. Flatley managed the product and marketing teams for a range of electronic control and IoT devices across the European region. His experience encompasses cross-functional global management, commercial and market strategy, new product development, new product launches and introductions, pricing models, strategic marketing, competitor and market analysis, VoC research and analysis, manufacturing and supply chain co-ordination, marketing communication strategy and execution.
Prior to joining Salus, he has held numerous international commercial and strategic product roles for global Hi-Tech hardware manufacturing businesses. These include Evoqua (Siemens Water), Tyco International, Honeywell Inc, Sony, Epson, and Sharp Electronics.
