Matt Shinkman is the Global Practice Leader for the Gartner Risk Management Leadership Council. In addition to his overall responsibility for program direction and content development, he advises members - senior risk management and strategy professionals from Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries - on the development of their risk management teams and processes, and how to extract maximum strategic value from those processes to drive corporate performance.
Mr. Shinkman was previously an advisor to the Chief Risk Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, and he also ran the Economist Intelligence Unit's custom research business for Fortune 500 clients in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He has worked at several strategy consulting firms including McKinsey and PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising clients across a range of industries on corporate governance and change management. He led emerging markets research (business development, research, operations) for the Economist Intelligence Unit.
