Meg Day is the Business Operations and Strategy lead for Gartner's Finance Practice, supporting its GVP on issues spanning resource allocation and optimization, client retention and consumption, operational execution, and change management. She also oversees the Finance Practice Fast Cycle Research Team, a new research capability in the Practice focused on developing research insights on emerging, timely concerns of finance executives.
In her prior role as a research leader serving Finance executives, Ms. Day led Gartner Finance's global research agenda and multi-person research team producing quantitative and qualitative research on Finance function strategy and transformation, business partnering, organization design, and leadership effectiveness. Her team's research has been featured in Fortune and CFO Dive, among others.
She also has served as a research leader in Gartner's HR Practice, authoring and co-authoring research and case studies on topics like employee experience, organizational culture, employee engagement, employment value proposition, digital HR strategy, and HR business partner performance. One of her recent research initiatives, The Modern Employee Experience, was featured in the July-August 2020 edition of Harvard Business Review.
