Meike Escherich is a Principal Analyst in Gartners Personal Technologies team. In her research, Ms. Escherich is primarily focused on the following areas:
- WW PC marketshare and forecast
- European (and especially German) PC vendor landscape
- PC pricing
- Windows 10 adoption
- Consumer & business buying criteria and usage
She is one of the lead analysts for Gartner's Worldwide Annual Survey on personal technologies for consumers and responsible for all primary research around privacy, personal data and consumer trust.
Additional coverage areas include: GDPR compliance and AI, branding, B2C go-to-market changes and second-hand markets for used PCs and smartphones.

Ms. Escherich joined Gartner's IT Services team in 1997. In 2000, she moved into the Client Computing group as a senior analyst before becoming a member of the Personal Technologies team in 2010.
Before joining Gartner, Ms. Escherich worked as a Financial Analyst at Reuters in the U.K.
