Mike Toussaint is a Senior Director, Analyst covering enterprise networking technologies and Key Initiative (KI) Leader for Infrastructure Operations and Cloud Management (IOCM). Dr. Toussaint focuses on emerging enterprise network technologies such as SD-WAN and SD-LAN, network feature virtualization, virtual customer premises equipment, intent-based networking and the alignment of technology in support of strategic business outcomes. As part of the leadership team at Gartner, Dr. Toussaint is integral in shaping the direction and content for research in IOCM.
Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Toussaint was a Senior Solution Architect for Dimension Data, NA. In this consultative role, he was responsible for guiding enterprise leaders in making tactical and strategic procurement decisions in technologies such as routing and switching, wireless and unified communications. He also held senior client-facing pre sales engineering roles at World Wide Technologies and Cisco. His doctoral research interests lie in the strategic alignment of information technology in organizations, the role of IT in digital transformation, and the transformation of data network systems from functional to strategic. He has previously held CCNP Voice and routing/switching certifications. He currently holds an ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
