Raj Bala is a VP, Analyst at Gartner focusing on cloud infrastructure, which includes public cloud infrastructure and platform service providers (AWS, Alibaba, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Tencent) and distributed systems. Mr. Bala has a combined experience of 23 years in cloud infrastructure and enterprise content management (ECM) and has most recently been an entrepreneur, where he raised venture capital from top-tier investors wherein he devised an exit through an acquisition. He is also a software developer and has built high-performance APIs along with mobile and web clients.
At EMC, Mr. Bala was responsible for building the ISV partner and developer community for Atmos, an object storage product with a REST API. Vendors under his purview included cloud storage gateways, enterprise file sync and share developers, and enterprise content management platforms. Mr. Bala also helped position these integrated solutions to the network of Atmos-based cloud service providers.
He also built API tools, collateral and the client-facing SDK to support the developer community. As a software developer, he has experience building asynchronous network APIs, web applications, and apps for both iOS and Android.
