Raymond Laracuenta is a Managing Vice President of the Office of the CIO research team within Gartner Research. Mr. Laracuenta is also Gartner's principal strategist as it relates to small and midsize businesses (SMBs). As an analyst and manager at Gartner, he has spent more than 12 years conducting primary and secondary research on the use of IT by SMBs and large enterprises. In addition to his IT management and SMB expertise, Mr. Laracuenta has specific background in the areas of PC systems/OSs (Apple, Microsoft, Linux), internet/VoIP and collaborative applications.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Laracuenta was a vice president of financial systems at People's Bank (Connecticut). For more than 12 years, he managed and participated in the implementation of desktop applications, portfolio management systems, groupware computing and Internet strategies for the bank.
