As part of the Sourcing & Procurement research team in Gartner's Supply Chain Practice, Ryan leads a team of researchers focused on identifying solutions to the major challenges facing Chief Procurement Officers. Since joining Gartner, he has led studies on supplier innovation, procurement digitization, and procurement function transformation. In his career prior to Gartner, Ryan's clients have included Fortune 100s, NGOs, and government agencies, and his research has supported issues management, public affairs, crisis management, litigation, advertising and public relations, human resources, and corporate decision making. His work has been published in HBR, the Washington Post, Forbes, Business Insider, and other media, and he's won PRSA's Bronze Anvil award for Best Use of Data/Analytics in a Campaign.

Previous experience

In his pervious roles, Ryan developed and executed research initiatives for clients in a variety of industries. He led thought leadership research for clients in energy and technology as well as for his employer, a global PR agency. His other work included market research, human resources research, public affairs, and DE&I research.
