Saniye Burcu Alaybeyi is a Senior Director, Analyst for Gartner's Application Innovation Team. In college she studied AI and did her master's thesis in AI. At Gartner, she specializes in AI and IoT. She gives advice to providers and end user clients on topics such as explainable AI (XAI), general AI trends, use cases and business opportunities, key business issues, and best practices to overcome AI barriers and how to move projects from POCs to scale.
Ms. Alaybeyi has more than 20 years of experience, both as a leader and an individual contributor, in product management, software development, applications and field engineering support. She joined Gartner after working for Real Time Innovations (RTI) as a senior product manager. At RTI, she was responsible for managing data distribution service products and tools by defining product features, maintaining roadmaps, researching target markets and establishing competitive analysis, as well as contributing to technical alliance and strategic partner management. Prior to joining RTI, Ms. Alaybeyi worked as a product applications engineer at Echelon's IoT business unit, where she supported LonWorks IoT products. Before Echelon, she worked as a software engineer at Maillshell, Kuokoa Networks and Edify.
