Sean Kenefick covers many aspects of application platform strategies, including the software development life cycle (SDLC), development methodologies (such as agile), software and mobile device testing, build and application life cycle management (ALM/ADLM) tools, build and deployment automation tools, development environment management tools such as Docker and Vagrant, DevOps practices (such as continuous delivery), and open-source software development tools.
Prior to joining Gartner's IT1 team, Mr. Kenefick covered the gamut of roles in the SDLC, including development, release/build management, documentation, quality and project management. In addition, he has managed IT help desk and technical support groups and has overseen IT operations and budgets. He is an open-source contributor and continues to develop using languages such as C++, Java, PHP and Python.
