Mr. Eftink's areas of focus include Managed Security Services, Security Consulting, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Email Security and Data Security. In his capacity at Gartner, he provides security technology product leaders unique, high-value research and indispensable advice on leveraging emerging security technologies and trends to create and deliver highly successful products and services.
Mr. Eftink has 25+ years of experience in Managed Service Providers (MSP), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP), product management, and service design including pricing and positioning.
Mr. Eftink is a Pragmatic Certified Product Manager, Information Technology Infrastructure Library in IT Service Management (ITIL v3 and v4) certified, and a Certified Scrum Master.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Eftink led Managed Services / Managed Security Services strategy as the co-founder of Technology and Networking; an MSP / MSSP focused on SMB and Midmarket clients. Following its acquisition, he later joined CSI, a Financial Industry focused provider, as the Managed Services Product Manager. Mr. Eftink was responsible for establishing the strategy and direction of the Managed Services / Managed Security Services practice and achieved double digit growth by modernizing the product set and helping lead teams to shift the service model from technology to outcome focused.
