William Clark is Managing Vice President for Application Innovation at Gartner, including Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, & Internet of Things (IoT).
Previously, he was the head of Application Design and Development at Gartner, his research agenda includes user-experience design, customer experience platforms, computer vision, conversational platforms, machine learning, and digital twins. The research emphasis is to assess the application opportunities & disruption caused by technologies such as deep neural networks, blockchain scalability and chatbots.
In addition to over 10 years at Gartner, Mr. Clark worked at SAP overseeing its global mobile strategy across business units and product lines. At Ericsson, he served as both an architect and product development manager for mobile communicators/phones, and the infrastructure of public and private wireless networks. At Texas Instruments, Mr. Clark was lead architect of application development platforms for industrial automation applications. He also co-founded and served as CEO and CTO of a mobile application and platform startup company , and he served as vice president of business development for a private firm focused on mobile field service management.
