Collective Bargaining

Collective bargaining is the process by which individual employees band together and, through elected representatives, negotiate conditions of employment. Employees have traditionally bargained collectively through trade unions, which negotiate the terms and conditions of work with employers, such as salary increases, changes to working hours, and improved health and safety.
