Daisy-Chaining

Daisy-chaining is the connection of multiple devices in a serial fashion. Daisy-chaining can achieve cost-efficiencies in transmission facilities. However, if one device malfunctions, all of the connected devices are disabled, and the risks associated with downtime and lack of availability often outweigh the potential cost-saving benefits.
