Burger King’s Whopper is getting a spooky makeover in honor of Halloween.

Over the past few years Burger King has made a habit out of turning a menu item ghoulish just for Halloween. Last year the fast-food chain launched a “Nightmare Burger,” a green-bunned whopper launched on social media. For 2019, Burger King is focusing again on it’s best-seller, the Whopper. The new “Ghost Whopper” will feature a ghostly white sesame seed bun infused with white cheddar cheese. The Ghost Whopper will only be available at select Burger King’s in ten states, and the company is encouraging fans to go and get one now while supplies lasts. Burger King is once again capitalizing on fan interest, according to a Gartner L2 report on the topic, by releasing the burger as part of its Halloween campaign.

To promote the Ghost Whopper, Burger King recruited Riz Mirza mediumto taste-test the burger. Mirza tried the burger while “inhabited by ghosts”, and confirmed that him and the spirits enjoyed the burger. Burger King has posted the taste-test on its social media channels and YouTube to further promote the limited-edition burger.

Burger King has continued to entice fans each year with its exclusiveHalloween burgers, and judging by the social media response, this year will be another supernatural success.
