After a successful seltzer launch, Bud Light is now taking another sip from the drinking market with Bud Light Lemonade.
Bud Light has slowly been releasing the new drink, which customers can find at liquor stores across the country. The lemonade lager is being released just in time for summer, though releasing it a couple of seasons before will help Bud Light not only build buzz around its new warm-weather drink, but also maintain engagement with fans throughout the year, according to a Gartner report on the topic. The beer will be made with real lemon juice and lemon peels, according to Bud Light, and will be available in 25-ounce cans and twelve-packs of 12-ounce cans.
This lemon drink is not Bud Light’s first foray with the fruit, over the past few years the brand has tested out a Bud Light Lemonade Radler and a Lemon Citrus Tea Lager. Other Beer brands have also tested out lemonade concoctions in past summer seasons—Natural Light released a Strawberry Lemonade Beer in 2019—in addition to testing out other spirit categories, the most popular market currently being seltzer. After releasing Bud Light Seltzer in January of this year, it appears the brand is gearing up for a busy year of releasing new products. Though Bud Light Lemonade has not been introduced on the brand’s social media channels yet, it’s only a matter of time until it rolls out across platforms for the summer too.
Bud Light Lemonade will be joining the brand’s citrus counterparts, Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Orange, on the shelves this year. The lemonade-infused beer could be a hit with markets across the country looking for a new drink to try.
