Hardware Harvest

Fall: It’s the time when big name brands like Amazon, Google, and Apple release their newest products. From Amazon Alexa updates to an advanced iPhone, industry leaders are presenting their newest gadgets just in time for the holiday season.

Influencers play a huge part in helping brands promote their products. Apple, Sony, and Canon are the top three mentioned brands on Instagram with a combined total of 23.9 thousand mentions on the social media site in just the past year, according to a Gartner L2 report on the topic. This publicity aids in helping the greater public learn about new product launches and helps brands grow in community size. Products including the iPhone 11, Google Pixel 4, and the newest Microsoft Surface are all part of the highly anticipated hardware launches this year, and have been widely discussed on social media thanks to influencers on YouTube and Instagram hyping the releases on their respective social media accounts.

Not all of the brands have been met with widespread excitement in for the fall product announcements, however. As public consumers grow more weary with releasing their data in order to use a product, interest has cooled in areas like virtual reality headsets or products that pair with Amazon Alexa, both of which were once considered the “next big things” in tech.

Any consumer interested in the newest technology trends and releases knows that product launches are like an early Christmas. Every year, products become more high tech and highly coveted, with buyers struggling to get their hands on the newest gadgets just in time for the biggest shopping season of the year.
