Nestle Goes Green for the Holidays

By: Mackenzie Baker | Dec 05, 2019

Nestle Toll House’s holiday cookies include a special treat you’d have to be a Grinch not to love.

Following last year’s Elf-adorned sugar cookies, the baking brand has released the “Pinch of Grinch” cookies to kick off the holiday season. They are green sugar cookies with a red heart sprinkle to represent the famous Christmas curmudgeon. The cookie dough is available at many retailers including Target and Kroger for $2.99 and pay homage to Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The cookies were released in October and will be available until the end of the year while supplies last. Nestle, which boasts a large social media following—particularly on Facebook, according to a Gartner L2 report on the topic—has been promoting the new holiday sugar cookie on its channels to build excitement with fans.

The Grinch-inspired cookies are only the beginning of Nestle’s holiday treats. The food brand has also introduced Nestle Toll House Holiday Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, which features red and green tree sprinkles, and Red & White Curls—made to adorn any festive baked goods. All three treats are only available for a limited time, but can be ordered online or in select stores.

Nestle is helping bakers get ready for the holiday season by introducing festive versions of its ready to bake cookie dough, great for the holiday enthusiasts who may not have enough time to bake from scratch. Many brands have been rolling out holiday editions of classic treats to get fans in the festive spirit, just as Nestle hopes to do with its Grinch-ified cookies.
