Snoop Dogg was recently named Employee of the Month at Dunkin’—and as a reward for his hard work, the company has launched a clothing line in his honor.
After debuting as Dunkin’s Beyond Meat ambassador, the rapper is now getting his own line of Dunkin’ merchandise. The line is inspired by his signature sandwich at Dunkin’, the “Beyond D-O-double G”, a Beyond Meat sausage patty with egg and cheese, sandwiched between a glazed donut. The online Snoop-themed shop will include bomber jackets, green tracksuits, and a variety of sweatshirts and beanies. The green tracksuit available is similar to the one worn by Snoop Dogg in Dunkin’s ads promoting the breakfast sandwich, while many of the other items are adorned with phrases including “The OG Dunkin” and “Glazzzed for Days”. The items all range in price from $20-$80 and are available online only.
This is not Dunkin’s first foray into online pop-up shops; last holiday season, the company launched an online shop full of branded merchandise including electric guitars, onesies, and joggers. All of the items sold out in almost two days—and after success like that—it is unsurprising that Dunkin would cook up another shop. Pop-up shops generate a sense of urgency that drives sales and build social followings, according to a Gartner report on the topic, so it makes sense that restaurants like Dunkin’ have been jumping on the trend.
The Dunkin’ x Snoop Dogg store has already been rolled out online and is perfect for those that are fans of Dunkin’, Snoop Doog—or ideally—both. Dunkin’s newest pop-up shows that restaurants are still going all-in on exclusive merchandise, a trend that may keep growing if its latest collaboration is a success.
