Marcus Blosch

Marcus Blosch, Ph.D., is a VP of Research on Gartner’s Enterprise Architecture team based in Asia/Pacific. He focuses on using Business Architecture to innovate, transform and create adaptive organizations, creating and leveraging business ecosystems and human-centric design and design thinking to innovate. Prior to joining Gartner, he worked at DHL’s global headquarters, driving global change programs as part of DHL’s strategy to create a global logistics business focused on providing value-added services. He was responsible for creating and managing the programs that would bring this about, transforming DHL’s business model.

Vivek Swaminathan

Vivek Swaminathan is the Practice Leader for the IT Leadership Council for Midsized Companies at CEB, now Gartner. This team supports a peer network of 750 CIOs at midsized companies through a portfolio of tools, benchmarks and case studies tailored to resource-constrained IT organizations. Critically, teams that face similar challenges as larger companies need innovative and actionable solutions to deliver the same results with fewer people. Prior to taking on leadership of the program, Mr. Swaminathan served in a number of research and advisory roles supporting IT teams within the CEB, now Gartner network. Mr. Swaminathan began his CEB career as a Research Associate, where he developed research for heads of PMO and Applications, focusing on project management and talent. In 2009, Mr. Swaminathan transitioned to an executive advisory role within the CEB IT Leadership Council for Midsized Companies. During this time at CEB, now Gartner, Mr. Swaminathan has led countless advisory conversations, tailored workshops and leadership briefings for CIOs and other senior IT executives. Mr. Swaminathan provided onsite and remote consulting for ERP clients in government and public sector for PeopleSoft HR and Financials software implementations.

Bill Swanton

Bill Swanton covers application strategy and the business value of IT, including IT benefit realization techniques used by Fortune 1000 companies to expand the value they receive from their application investments. Recent areas of focus have been the digital business technology platform, enterprise agile governance and budgeting, product management of applications, and pace-layered application strategy. Mr. Swanton came to Gartner through the AMR Research acquisition with a specific focus on how brand owners, contract manufacturers and other suppliers use ERP and other enterprise software to manage global demand-driven supply networks (DDSNs). He also launched AMR Research’s product life cycle management (PLM) coverage in 1997. He held numerous product marketing and IT positions and gained experience within the manufacturing software, controls, and automation system markets. He worked in the manufacturing systems division of Kronos. He also worked for ITP Group and its MainStream subsidiary in various consulting and product marketing roles. He began his career at the C.S. Draper Laboratory as a system engineer and software development team leader.
