Meet the Expert

Jose Ruggero

Jose Ruggero is Managing Vice President for the Midsize Enterprise (MSE) Research team at Gartner. This newly formed global team researches the strategies and best practices that MSEs must follow to survive in the digital world. MSEs have some inherent agility in addressing the same core business capabilities that large enterprises have, but there are many other challenges and complexities that are not easily addressed. The research covers the MSE CIO and their teams, and the critical roles needed by MSEs. Jose was recently the Managing Vice President for the ERP and Enterprise Applications Research team. Prior to the roles in Research, Jose was the head of Gartner’s Executive Programs business, firstly in the APAC region, and then in the Americas and Japan. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Jose also worked in Latin America and Europe. Mr. Ruggero’s focus was strategy, communication, leadership and business engagement with CIOs, their teams and other senior executives. Prior to this role, Mr. Ruggero was the head of Gartner’s Executive Programs business, first in the Asia/Pacific region, and then in the Americas and Japan. Additionally, he worked directly with CIOs, their teams and other senior executives throughout the world, with particular emphasis on coaching for communication, strategy and innovation.
