Felix Gaehtgens

Felix Gaehtgens is a VP Analyst in Systems, Security and Risk at Gartner, focusing on identity and access management. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Gaehtgens worked as a trusted technology advisor to large corporations and public institutions in Europe, the United States and Latin America. He was also involved in high-tech ventures, most recently as a co-founder of Symlabs, a virtual directory vendor, where he served as interim CEO, product manager and architect. As an advisor, Mr. Gaehtgens has worked in various industries, especially automotive, telecom, government and finance. During his 25 years in the IT industry, Mr. Gaehtgens has worked with many technologies in different positions from technical to management. His career spans a full cycle from developing device drivers for Unix systems, through building ISPs from the ground up to ultimately helping lead IAM teams and manage IAM initiatives.

Ant Allan

Ant Allan, Ph.D., is a Research Vice President in Gartner Research. He is a core member of the identity and access management (IAM) research community and Agenda Manager for the IT Leaders’ IAM Key Initiatives. He specializes in user authentication and other “trusted identity” technologies, along with supporting processes, policies and best practices.Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Allan worked for two years as a Product Manager for security software products with a U.K. distributor. Before that, he worked for seven years in information security management for GA Life, focusing on information security policy and technologies for financial systems, after short stints in application development and information technology training.
