Here are some tips to help you prepare before you arrive at the event!

  • Register early to reserve your hotel room. Rooms at the Gaylord Texan sell out quickly and can only be booked once you’re registered for the event. View the venue page for information and room block open dates.
  • Visit Gartner Events Navigator and start building your agenda!
    • Within Gartner Events Navigator, there are many ways to build your agenda.
    • If you’re interested in more advanced content, look for our CDO Circle in the track section. Or if you’re looking for sessions aligned to midsize organizations, we have a forum just for you. There are lots of ways to find the sessions that suit your needs!
  • Book your Gartner Analyst one-on-one sessions. Bookings open four weeks prior to the summit. View our Gartner Data & Analytics 2018 Analyst Guide to see which analysts align to your needs.

  • Yes! We can provide all the help you need through our Gartner Event Concierge. Gartner Event Concierge team works with attendees pre-event to make sure they have the best possible experience on-site and focus on the four key factors that lead to a successful event, including:

When should I arrive on-site?

  • We recommend arriving by Sunday, March 4, so that you have the opportunity to pick up your name badge and get settled into the hotel.
  • There will also be bonus sessions — such as the Bake-Off — running on Sunday. Check the agenda page for details on Sunday activities.

You’ll have plenty of time to meet with your peers during networking breakfasts and lunches or throughout the day in our convenient lounges. In addition, you’ll be able to learn from your peers during analyst-user roundtables, end-user case study sessions and Solution Showcase receptions. Tips for when you arrive onsite!

As soon as you arrive you can visit Registration. You’ll simply enter the email address you used for registration, verify this with a photo ID and receive your conference badge. For additional information regarding your hotel stay or other questions you may have, visit our FAQ page.

  • What is my name badge for?
What is my name badge for?

Your name badge will allow you entry into all conference-related activities (sessions, Exhibit Showcase, hospitality suites, meals, etc.). They are also tagged so that we are able to scan the sessions you’ve attended and provide a conference evaluation tailored to these specific sessions. Your badge will also grant you access to all pre-conference activities on Sunday, March 4.

Absolutely not! As long as you have fully paid your registration fee, you have access to all on-site activities and documentation. If you’re interested in becoming a Gartner client while on-site, you can visit the Gartner Research Zone to better understand the benefits you’ll receive by becoming a client.

What is the Gartner Events app and do I need to download it?

The Gartner Events app is our own mobile device (smartphone and tablet) application that makes it easy for you to navigate and build your agenda and keep tabs on what’s happening while on-site. Download the app, sign in with the information you used on Gartner Events Navigator and you’ll be good to go. Whether you use Gartner Events Navigator through your desktop or the app, your agenda will sync up with ease. You’ll also receive push notifications while on-site to remind you of some of the key happenings.

What should I bring?
  • Don’t forget to bring your business cards! You’ll have tons of opportunities to network with your peers and solution providers, and it’s the easiest way to exchange contact info. If you have a smartphone or tablet, this will also come in handy, as your entire agenda can be organized with the Gartner Events mobile app and viewed from most mobile devices.
  • In addition, we’ll have charging stations throughout the conference space, so bring your chargers with you so that you never have to go offline. For those of you travelling internationally, be sure to pack your travel adapters. If you typically wear glasses or contact lenses, be sure to bring any backups you might own. Also don’t forget any medications you might need to take throughout the week.
