  • Are there any sessions that require pre-registration?
Are there any sessions that require pre-registration?

Analyst-user roundtables, analyst one-on-ones or workshops require pre-registration within Events Navigator and spots fill up quickly! We also have a special orientation session on Sunday afternoon, so be sure to add that to your agenda. And for assistance in planning your analyst one-on-one, download this PDF

  • Are there networking opportunities available?
Are there networking opportunities available?

You’ll have plenty of time to meet with your peers during networking breakfasts and lunches or throughout the day in our convenient lounges. In addition, you’ll be able to learn from your peers during analyst-user roundtables, end-user case study sessions and Solution Showcase receptions. Click here for more detail on all of the unique networking opportunities we have.

  • Will I have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Gartner analyst?
Will I have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Gartner analyst?

Definitely! In addition to analyst presentations throughout the day, as well as dedicated question and answer sessions on specific topics, you can get advice specific to your business when you preregister for up to two private analyst one-on-one meetings. To help you plan for your meeting and make the most of your time, we’ve put together this document. You can also preregister for analyst-user roundtables, where you’ll receive feedback and advice from a Gartner analyst and your peers around a specific topic.

General registration for all preregistration-required sessions like workshops, analyst-user roundtables and analyst one-on-ones will open in November. The easiest way to ensure you get a spot is to earmark the sessions you’d like to attend, then log on early in the day to Events Navigator to register. If you try to register for a session and it is listed as closed, make a note of it and keep that session in mind. Attendees often cancel or become unable to make their preregistered sessions, so there is a good possibility you will gain entry into the session. Once you are on-site, find the room for that session and arrive there about 15 minutes prior to the session start to have your name added to the waiting list.

  • What is the Gartner Events app and do I need to download it?
  • What should I bring?
What is the Gartner Events app and do I need to download it?

The Gartner Events app is our own mobile device (smartphone and tablet) application that makes it easy for you to navigate and build the agenda and keep tabs on what’s happening while on-site. Download the app, sign in with the information used on Events Navigator and you’ll be good to go. Whether you use Events Navigator through your desktop or the app, your agenda will sync up with ease. You’ll also receive push notifications while on-site to remind you of some of the key happenings.

What should I bring?

Don’t forget to bring your business cards! You’ll have tons of opportunities to network with your peers and solution providers, and it’s the easiest way to exchange contact info. If you have a smartphone or tablet, this will also come in handy, as your entire agenda can be organized with the Gartner Events mobile app and viewed from most mobile devices. You’ll also use your device to take part in our live polling throughout the conference, so keep it with you.

In addition, we’ll have charging stations throughout the conference space, so bring your chargers with you so that you never have to go offline. For those of you travelling internationally, be sure to pack your travel adapters. If you typically wear glasses or contact lenses, be sure to bring any backups you might own. Also don’t forget any medications you might need to take throughout the week.

And if you’re arriving early, or staying after the event, we’ve put together this list of recommended activities in and around the Las Vegas area.
