Does the risk of Ransomware and malware propagation bother you? Is IoT security a top of mind for you? To protect against many risks, we have witnessed success of micro-segmentation in the data center. Would you be willing to deploy similar solution for the campus? I am very curious to get your feedback?

I would definitely suggest this based of how you categorize your types of data/systems and information being stored in certain parts of your data center. I think it’s really dependent on the size of your organization and what the impact would be to your workflows with this in place. Does it cause any lag? Do you have the right amount of people to implement and manage it?

Definitely Yes, Both of these risks are evolving at faster pace as the IoT solutions are getting developed.

Most definitely. And why in the data center alone? Microsegmentation must be part of basic security design in Data Centers, across Cloud, within Kubernetes, across Serverless, in IT-OT leverages, within OT networks. Microsegmentation solves a very complex problem and the real value is in it becoming pervasive.

Actually I believe microsegmentation will become a foundational element of computing infrastructure that enables digital business in 2 to 5 years.

Without a doubt - Technical Debt! It's a ball and chain that creates an ever increasing drag on any organization, stifles innovation, and prevents transformation.
