Fear can arise from several reasons.

Despite some company employees getting results, the organization or tech startup is not doing well.

Some employees are just scared of being fired. Honest mistakes can be forgiven.

These people need to understand that the sooner they are upfront about the problem, the faster that it can be resolved.

If you made a mistake, then just be both honest and upfront.
