How are you navigating the great resignation? Is it impacting your team's morale? How are you retaining people and keep them motivated?

Not well. Morale seems ok but people are feeling “saturated”. We are trying to figure out what will keep them mobile, growing and engaged by direct 1:1, increased communication and trying to find opportunities where possible.Senior Director, Defense Programs in Software, 5,001 - 10,000 employees
I am navigating it by keeping my LinkedIn up to date and accepting calls for new roles. 📱 Always looking out for team morale, including fair compensation, great workplaces, and encouraging training.
I am treating people as adults with options by giving them trust, respect, and attention. Feels like it is going ok so far.

I like these three questions when having 1:1's with my people.1. How are you?
2. How is your family?
3. How is your work?
We need to ensure we stay connected with our people and what is going on outside of work, as well as inside. And keeping as much fun and connection at work as possible, even if remote from each other.
I manage a national team and I am the only one in my location. I actually feel more connected to my people, with us all being remote, than when we were in our separate offices. I actually get more face-time with them and more of a look into their personal worlds.
Director in Manufacturing, 1,001 - 5,000 employees
We try to rotate staff into diverse projects in new topic areas to broaden their knowledge. Technical staff is more siloed and isolated than ever before. By moving them into some different projects they can meet new people in the company and develop some new skills on the project. We don't offer training for training goals, we offer training for successful completion of projects. Need to implement something new, they we will get you trained to ensure successful implementation.
