The use of the lake in the cloud has impacted an increase in cloud costs. I'm considering doing a TCO study to bring some workloads to our datacenter in house. Has anyone gone through or is going through this challenge?

May I ask if there was a TCO comparison of running these very workloads on the cloud vs on-prem? If so, in what ways did the original TCO modelling fail to reflect today’s reality?

Looking for advice and materials that might provide options to more efficiently evaluate vendors from review to implementation (but at the moment mostly around initiation to contract signing. The following groups are involved in every project (which is one of the things that might need to be evaluated): - Vendor Management - Information Security Governance - Risk - Contracts - Architecture (with ARB) - Business Analyst for requirements There is a lot of red tape, but much of it is needed as a Financial Institution. One thing we do need to enhance is streamlining questions and document requests, but a product is not in the cards at this moment, so we are looking for quick wins.

We have those similar groups involved in our process. We embedded the questions into OneTrust and run it through there to track the responses, approvals, documents. You could do the same in a microsoft form though.
