Has anyone reduced your company's number of DCs or a client's? If so, how did you calculate the impact of safety stock and inventory dollars? My thought is to use the SS formula that includes zscore, replenishment lead-time, RSME and average demand. I would combine the data into the "new" DCs and simply run the calculation. Am I missing anything?
