In my experience, the bigger multi-cloud driver is cost reduction/effectiveness, where you run the proper workloads in the best cloud solution for that workload. Local or regional regions (data centres) that can decrease the latency. A feature that you need or availability of technology integrations. I often see a great solution that is only available on AWS but not fully on Azure and not supported at all on GCP.
