Does your company have a business library or similar initiative?

We had something similar to a business library in a couple of the companies that I've worked at. There's often a book club that they start with emerging leaders, fresh hires or new managers. They go through a bunch of books and then discuss what they learned. I've found that most of the books resonate with the company culture, so it aligns them with the thought process, goals and aspirations of the company. Apart from that, there were standard learning and development platforms that I found helpful.

I work in higher education so we’ve got a library, and all the resources that entails, as a result of that. It works out nicely for all those databases that would not be available otherwise. On a more “business” front we had some Gartner subscription, but I’m not certain if we still do as I haven’t used it in a while.

We have a library, but it's not business exclusive, there are various types of books, the majority are management/leadership/technology but also novels and some magazines

I haven't been in a company with a formal library or list of suggested readings, other than the book HR gives you when you take on a leadership role. But I've tried to use something similar for my team. O'Reilly Media was a big tech book manufacturer that ultimately moved into the online space with their Safari platform. With Safari, you can get team memberships to access thousands of books on technology topics, and on occasion there are also some titles on business and softer skills. I've always had those subscriptions for my team because it puts all this information right at their fingertips, which I've found beneficial.
