How do you manage the pressure on engineering to move at the speed of business during a rapid-growth stage?

Growing rapidly and having an aggressive product roadmap should never come at the cost of your platform. The stability, availability and security of our platform is always a top priority. At the same time, we also ensure that it is scalable so we can grow the product and the company even more. We know what good looks like and we always push for the best practices. Of course, sometimes there is a push from many directions to do various different things with conflicting priorities, and sometimes we need to have hard conversations, but in the end we are always aligned on the objectives. A key thing to highlight is that we don’t separate technology/engineering from product when it comes to new work, improvements and paying back product debt. We choose not to call it technical debt, but rather product debt to ensure people understand how it affects the whole product and that it is everyone’s responsibility.
