I'm curious as to how many Execs are aware of/looking into this emerging tech solution of #DataSecOps? Somewhat obvious of the PII/PCI/HIPPA/etc... compliance play, but if they solve a broader issue, is that compelling?

The compliance perspective can be indeed a compelling for many business execs, particularly as part of the business case ("increased compliance enables business growth and decreases the risk of fines"). For a security professional, looking into the changing risk profile, as the companies 1) increase their ability to collect, analyze and monetize business data and  2) move their data to the cloud warehouses/data lakes, which can be 3) managed in-house or outsourced, means that they have a new set of risks to tackle, and the compliance exposure is only one part of the big picture.
