What types of suppliers are critical to your operations?

We mainly deal with software, so everything is over the internet. We build the connectors, and everything goes through our cloud service providers. We have been working with AWS to provide facilities to our customers, but we have some customers who prefer to use their own services. There are a lot of challenges when working with multiple tools. Our software needs to be compatible with them, so it's a bit challenging to provide all the services. Sometimes we have to say no because there is no other option. In consideration of the developers, we do not want to waste our time doing something that may not be useful later on. There is a lot of demand over here for software developers, which is an issue for the suppliers. The majority of those companies can't afford to compete for them right now. Recently one of our developers was stuck with an issue and there was nobody to help him out. When such issues happen, myself or somebody from the senior team has to jump in to make sure that we deliver on time. We are still figuring out what can be done to solve those problems.

We're a professional services company, so our laptops need to work in the cloud services that we use, like Office 365 or Box. The different tools that we use to work and collaborate with our clients need to be functioning, so cloud service providers are our key suppliers. Aside from the laptop that I'm using, we don't have a lot of infrastructure that we're managing. But if there's an outage, that can impact our operations quite a bit.

Hardware suppliers are critical to our operations, especially for deployment at our customers, from physical servers, firewalls, NAS devices, hard drives, PoS machines, printers, bar code scanners to internal employees' needs for headsets, phones, monitors etc.
