Frequently Asked Questions

Are vendor companies like mine eligible to sign up to receive access to Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus)?

At this time, you are not eligible to receive access to GPI Plus. GPI Plus is currently available for reviewers from end-user companies. GPI Plus is not available to consultants, system integrators, or technology vendors.

Will all reviewers receive access to Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus)?

GPI Plus is currently available for reviewers from end-user companies. GPI Plus is not available to consultants, system integrators, or technology vendors.

I understand that Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus) members will, among other things, get access to select Gartner research. What does this include? (MQ’s, MG’s, Hype Cycles, etc.?)

While GPI Plus members will indeed get access to select Gartner research, this access will not include Magic Quadrants, Market Guides, or Hype Cycles. The select Gartner research that they can access will include both IT role-based research (I&O, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Security & Risk, etc.) and industry-focused research (Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Utilities, etc.)

My customer is already a Gartner-research subscriber. How is Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus) different?

GPI Plus membership is a specially curated set of research and functionality crafted as an incentive for leaving an approved review. It does not have the breadth of research nor does it include interactions with Gartner analysts and an associated peer community inherent in most subscriptions but does include two new, exclusive benefits:

  1. Enhanced Gartner Peer Insights site features

    • Unlimited vendor comparisons – ability to compare 3+ vendors against Gartner Peer Insights’ list of evaluation criteria
    • Topic-based reviews filtering – ability to filter reviews by topics that are commonly referenced in the content of those reviews
  2. Market and vendor rating/review trend alerts

Are the enhanced Gartner Peer Insights features referenced above (i.e. unlimited vendor comparisons and topic-based reviews filtering) exclusively for Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus) members, or is there a way that I can access these features as well?

Currently, the GPI Plus enhanced-site features are exclusively for GPI Plus members, but we are always evaluating features to consider whether we should extend them to the general Gartner Peer Insights visitors and technology vendors.

How do I opt-in to have Gartner offer Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus) to my customer in exchange for having their review approved and published on Peer Insights?

You can opt-in to have Gartner offer GPI Plus to your customers in exchange for reviews, by selecting “Gartner Peer Insights PLUS membership” as the incentive choice in the Technology Provider Tool (TPT) dashboard. Your custom link will grant GPI Plus membership to each of your reviewers who submits an approved review.

If my customer submits more than one approved review, do they receive an additional 3 months of access to Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus)? (Ex. If my customer submits 4 approved reviews, do they have access to GPI Plus for 12 months?

Your customers who submit approved reviews will get 3 months of GPI Plus membership for each approved review that they submit with your custom link. As an example, if your customer submits 4 reviews with your GPI Plus custom-incentive link, then they would get GPI Plus for 12 months. Please note that an individual reviewer can review the same product only once per year for GPI Plus access. While they can update their review, this would not give them additional months of access.

I see that as part of Gartner Peer Insights Plus (GPI Plus) there are Market Alerts and Trends – How does Peer Insights pull this data? What data is given?

The Market Alerts and Trends report is based off the Gartner Peer Insights reviews and ratings data that is collected on the site. The report indicates trending vendors in the reviewer’s tracked market based on number of comparisons, new reviews, and highest overall rating generally and specifically for the reviewer’s industry.
