After deployment was complete we received complaints from end users that their ability to perform their job was inhibited by the software. Additionally, when we reviewed the number of alerts on endpoints we found Symantec (which is also resident on our systems) had a much higher rate of detection and accuracy. The vendor argued it was the way the software was deployed that caused issues. Then it was the features enabled. Then it was the version. Extensive testing on our end proved the product simply didn't stand up to other security software in terms of detection accuracy or frequency. Additionally, the product requires extensive, ongoing tuning. We spent more on contractors to review alerts and tag as viable or false positives than we did on the product. In the end, we found Invincea to be expensive, resource intensive, and not very effective.
