Blackline is a great accounting tool

The blackline account reconciliation software has been a great tool for our company. It has allowed us to save many manhours in our reconciliation process. It also provided us easy visibility to aged items, reconciliation problems and detail of journal entries being made monthly.

Simple & Powerful but licenses and customization can be pricey

Working with Blackline has been a pleasant experience right from the get go. The consultants we worked with were very knowledgeable with the product and were able to understand our needs in our first one or two meetings. They were able to provide us with a couple of options with regards to licensing that was acceptable for us so we were able to try it before we could go full-fledge with the application. They were able to guide us through the process of setting up rules for reconciling large amounts of data. We had a need to do this reconciliation between our data and several of our partner's GL data - we have configured the reconciliation rules for several of them and the reconciliation process itself is very easy and quick once we set up the rules. The application itself was simple to configure and use and the output was quick and accurate. Overall, we are very pleased with the output.

Certification takes longer because you can only certify one reconcilliation at a time, but the reconciliation is easier to review than with our old software.
