    Solid Tool and Implementation Support

    Overall Comment

    Cognos Controller and TM1 provided the right level of data capture, consolidation and reporting capabilities to match our business needs. The tools were intuitive and current with business financial management requirements. Cognos' provided consultant support with solid implementation and financial experience. This assistance kept us in line and on target to achieve our objectives.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Give sufficient thought up front to the end result needed to support the business. Be sure the tool can adequately accommodate your scale and data requirements.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ability to capture and report financial data in ways that support answering business questions. Flexibility to design and implement to meet needs.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Give greater consideration to the level of financial detail needed to support our business. We went to a very low level of detail which translated into a lot of additional effort with a lesser return in value. We found that we sought to import more data than we likely needed and taxed the systems' limitations.
